The Floor Store has deep roots in Washington, NC—originally founded and operated by Jay Jones, the business has been part of the local community for 70 years. Today, that legacy lives on through Crystal, our link to the Jones family’s long history in the area, and a key part of our team. In 2024, the business entered a new chapter when it was purchased by Rick Mugno, a longtime entrepreneur with 30 years of experience in IT and business ownership. While Rick brings fresh perspective, operational know-how, and a strong digital vision, Crystal anchors the store’s in-house expertise and customer relationships. Amy adds creative direction and style guidance, helping customers bring design ideas to life.
Together, our small but mighty team blends tradition and innovation to deliver personalized service, honest advice, and installations that stand the test of time.
